HMP Communications, a leader in healthcare communications and education, announced today that its highly-rated Managed Care – First Report journal will be rebranded as First Report – Managed Care, covering clinical, economic, and legislative developments affecting managed markets, beginning with its January 2010 issue.. The journal reaches a national audience of
21,000 managed care market decision-makers including health plan CEOs,
hospital formulary committee members, HMO pharmacies, and medical
directors of health
plans, nursing homes, and state prison facilities.
“The Obama Administration has made it clear that healthcare reform is at
the top of its agenda”
“The Obama Administration has made it clear that healthcare reform is at
the top of its agenda,” says William Cardarelli, PharmD. “Keeping
apprised of policy and legislative changes are priorities for all who
serve in the managed care field and it is vital that news be distributed
immediately. First Report – Managed Care will lead in this
objective and the title change reflects the committed focus.”
First
Report- Managed Care launched in 2003 and has
become an undisputed leader in first reporting on major developments in
the managed care industry.
“Readers are under consistent pressure to insure that formularies
reflect the best drug or treatment,” adds Cardarelli. “With the renewal
of the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA IV), which provides
substantial funds to hire more FDA staff in the drug division, we expect
to see an increase in drug approvals as well as authorization for new
uses for current drugs. First Report- Managed Care will be the
first in reporting to our specific market.”
